nymag

Last weekend I was sitting in a bar full of drag queens on Canal Street in Manchester with my Mam, her other half & Andy when my twitter feed starting going nuts with people tweeting me to look at an article online ( thankyou especially to Kristabel & Sarah ). The said article was on NYmag.com. A website for New York magazine - a magazine dedicated to the fashion, entertainment & cultures that drive New York City.
The article was dubbed 'The 30 Most Stylish People From Fashion Month ' basically a gallery of what NYmag.com proclaim to be the 30th most stylish individuals they snapped across all the fashion weeks this season. I am included....
This is a massive deal, a huge deal infact but is also open to arguement and contradiction - style means many things to different people and I for one, will be the first to say that I do not ever think of myself as stylish. I just wear high street ( usually Primark ) clothing, layer it on because I have a fear of being cold & an not a sample size 8. Being featured in a gallery amongst model looking, straight of the runway designer clad, jackets perched on shoulders, hair perfected women is not only massiverly overwhelming, but I also felt its a little insane that anyone felt I belonged here.
I am very grateful to those kind people at NYmag.com who have allowed to me to grace this gallery ( as Kristabel put it 'representing the UK' ) and very overwhelmed to be featured - so thanks guys !
( of corse they spelled my name wrong - everyone does - blame Mammy Wilson for this ) .
